Molecular diagnostics is a powerful, underutilized tool for diagnosing many viruses and disease states. It's mainstream adoption has been held back by laborious workflows that require specialty staff.

Abbott saw an opportunity to change this dynamic and partnered with us to define a next generation platform that would create workflow synergies across its newly established “Core Lab” product vision.

Our design adopts a “continuous” workflow which provides users the flexibility to load/unload samples and commodities at will, a dynamic new UI, and common peripheral interaction points which unite user behaviors across four diagnostic platforms.

These Usability synergies combined with a modern VBL our design team developed represents a huge advancement for diagnostics, as Alinity has helped cement Abbott’s reputation as a leader in the lab.
